The 13th International Symposium on Society and Resource Management (ISSRM) will be held in Park City, Utah June 17-21, 2007. Hosted by Utah State University, the ISSRM is the largest gathering of social scientists and resource managers in the world. The symposium will provide a blend of scientific paper and poster presentations, panel discussions, and applied workshops centered around this year’s theme: Landscape Continuity and Change: Social Science Perspectives and Interdisciplinary Conversations. Subthemes include:
- Contributions of social science to environmental and natural resource management
- Planning from community to regional scales
- Landscape implications of social and economic change
- Social and economic implications of landscape change
The 2007 Organizing Committee is now accepting proposals for individual scientific papers and posters, as well as special coordinated paper sessions and panel discussions. Abstracts for proposed individual papers or posters are due January 31, 2007. Proposals for special sessions are due by January 15, 2007.
